UNEP Finance Initiative ESRA Online Course Executive 30 October - 17 November 2017

This course is a service developed and provided by the UNEP Finance Initiative, the INCAE Business School within the Ecobanking project and the German International Development Cooperation (GIZ). This is an internationally recognized training program which has been offered since 2005. The aim is to provide tools for managers and analysts to examine environmental risks in order to identify, assess and manage risks arising from the activities of their clients related to emerging markets and countries.

  This program (in German) is designed for client advisors, portfolio managers, marketing and sales specialists as well as Board members of pension funds and foundations. It provides a comprehensive overview on sustainable investments and lecturers stem from academia, the financial sector and specialised associations.
Haute école de gestion Genève DAS Management Durable 2016 - 2017: Module Finance Durable Executive 26 - 27 April,
5 - 6 May 2017



Together with Sustainable Finance Geneve (SFG) and institute supérieur de formation bancaire (isfb), haute école de gestion Genève provides a 24-hour continuous learning module on Sustainable Finance (in French). It is mainly designed for advisors and asset managers. The educational objective is to gain a better understanding of the different financing and investment strategies beneficial to companies oriented towards sustainability.

This one-day course (in English) gives participants an introduction on definitions of sustainability and ESG, sustainability considerations in standard models of financial markets, the role of ethical decision making and systemic risks.

This two-day course (in English) aims at providing participants with an in-depth understanding of macroeconomics, asset classes as well as risks related to investments in emerging markets.

University of Zürich Department of Banking and Finance Microfinance - Introduction Executive 28 June 2017

A one-day course (in English), in collaboration with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC, will provide participants with the basics of microfinance in emerging and developing economies. It is designed for all those who deal with investments in or funding for microfinance, financial sector development, or rural development in developing countries.

University of Zürich Department of Banking and Finance Microfinance - State of the Art Executive 29 - 30 June 2017

Following the introductory course, a two-day in-depth course (in English) participants gain an advanced understanding of how microfinance product development responds to demand and addresses financial market imperfections. They apply instruments for monitoring and evaluating the financial and social performance of investments in microfinance and financial sector development.

University of Zürich Department of Banking and Finance Sustainability in Banking and Insurance Executive 21 - 22 September 2017

This two-day course (in English) introduces to participants implications of sustainability for the banking and insurance industries: ESG risks and ESG-related opportunities for banks and insurance companies.

In collaboration with CSSP AG, the University of Zurich Department of Banking and Finance offers a two-day intensive course (in German) on theoretical foundations and practical overview on strategies, products, performance management, and investor profiles of SRI.

University of Zürich Department of Banking and Finance Current Trends in Socially Responsible Investments (SRI) Executive 24 November 2017

To deepen and expand topics in socially responsible investments, participants can take a one-day intensive course (in English, in collaboration with WWF Switzerland) on selected topics in SRI, such as engagement, specific asset classes (bonds, private equity) and specific value chains (infrastructure).
