Managing Director, Global Head of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs, Credit Suisse

Manuel Rybach is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse and serves as Global Head of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs. In addition, he serves as Head of International Relations in the Chairman's Office.

Previously, he was Global Head of Public Affairs and Policy as well as Global Head of Corporate Citizenship and Foundations and Managing Director of the Credit Suisse Foundation. He also served as Head of Public Policy APAC as well as Chief of Staff to the CEO APAC, based in Hong Kong, managed the Credit Suisse Research Institute and served as Head of Governmental Affairs, based in Zurich. He has also been based in Singapore and Washington, DC, working on public policy issues. He started his career at Credit Suisse in the Economic Research department in Zurich, where he was a Senior Economist.

Manuel Rybach holds a doctorate degree from the University of St. Gallen (Dr. rer. publ. HSG), Switzerland, where he is a Lecturer and was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).

He manages the bank’s Strategic Partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and serves on the WEF’s Global Future Council on Investing, the Executive Committee of the Swiss Advisory Council to the American Swiss Foundation, the Board of Trustees of Swisscontact and on the Board of the Swiss Institute of International Studies (SIAF).
