General description of organisation

The Raiffeisen Group is the leading Swiss retail bank. The third largest bank in the Swiss banking sector has 3.7 million clients. These include 1.9million cooperative members, who are co-owners of their Raiffeisen bank. The Raiffeisen Group has 912 sites in Switzerland. The Group includes 255 Raiffeisen cooperative banks. Raiffeisen Switzerland Cooperative is the strategic leader of the entire Raiffeisen Group. Notenstein La Roche Private Bank Ltd. is a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Switzerland Cooperative. As of 31 December 2017, the Raiffeisen Group had CHF 210 billion in assets under management and CHF 181 billion in loans to clients. The Group's market share in mortgages is at 17.5%. Its total assets amount to CHF 228 billion.

For Raiffeisen, Sustainable Finance means the promotion of sustainable development through financial products and services that provide economic and social benefits. It includes not only sustainable investing but also the provision of transparent and understandable products as well as the financing of sustainable technologies and solutions. In particular, Raiffeisen aims at offering sustainable investments also to small investors. As a member of Swiss Sustainable Finance, Raiffeisen aims to provide incentives for the development and sales of sustainable products and services and at fostering a common framework for a sustainable financial marketplace in Switzerland.
