General description of organisation
OLZ, which is located in Bern and Zurich, is a FINMA authorised investment specialist in the management of private assets, institutional assets and pension funds (pillar 3a, Freedom of Movement Act and 1e solutions).
Our investment strategy is risk-based, sustainable and optimised to achieve a higher return for our clients.
Around 30 employees at OLZ manage assets of circa three billion Swiss francs.
OLZ was founded in 2001 and is managed by associate partners.
OLZ is a member of ASIP (Swiss pension fund association) and Swiss Sustainable Finance.
Reason for membership with SSF
As an asset manager with special focus on investment risks the integration of ESG criteria was a logical step in improving our investment strategy. From a financial point of view, investment opportunities that fail ESG criteria often contain hidden risks that should be avoided if an investor wants to pursue the goal of building a well-diversified portfolio.
As a member of Swiss Sustainable Finance our aim is to establish more understanding of sustainable investing because OLZ is convinced that the combination of responsibility with risk-awareness is crucial to all investment decisions and finally to a sustainable and higher long term returns.
