Standard ESG-Questionnaire for Direct Real Estate Vehicles
INTRODUCTION
In Switzerland, residential and commercial real estate generate around a quarter of the country's CO2 emissions. Real estate investors therefore have considerable leverage to contribute to achieving Switzerland's climate targets, by taking climate and broader sustainability factors into account.
In 2024, SSF for the first time published the "Standard ESG-Questionnaire for Direct Real Estate Vehicles" to simplify the exchange of information between direct and indirect real estate investors.
Over the summer 2025, SSF collected feedback on the questionnaire and, with the support of the related Steering Committee (add hyperlink), prepared an updated version in time for the new reporting cycle. This questionnaire can serve as the standard tool for indirect real estate investors to gather information from direct real estate vehicles.
