Standard ESG-Questionnaire for Real Estate Vehicles
INTRODUCTION
In Switzerland, residential and commercial property accounts for around a quarter of national CO₂ emissions. Real estate investors therefore have considerable influence in helping to achieve Switzerland’s climate targets.
In 2024, SSF published the first "Standard ESG-Questionnaire for Direct Real Estate Vehicles" to simplify the exchange of information between direct and indirect real estate investors. In 2025, SSF collected feedback on the questionnaire and, with the support of the related Steering Committee, prepared and published an updated version for the next reporting cycle. In 2026, SSF and ASIP collaborated to further advance the content and now also covering indirect investments for the first time.

STEERING COMMITTEE
SSF will regularly update the Standard Questionnaire based on feedback from its network. To this end, we have invited industry and academic experts to form a steering committee to evaluate market feedback and align the questionnaire with current market practice.
