General description of organisation
Bernische Lehrerversicherungskasse (BLVK) founded in 1818 is an independent public-law pension fund for the teachers of the Canton of Berne. BLVK manages over CHF 8.2 billion in assets for more than 26,000 insured persons. BLVK supports sustainable corporate policies that meet the needs of the current generation without jeopardising those of future generations. BLVK therefore integrates its sustainability principles into its investment strategy and does not invest in companies that are prohibited by international conventions or treaties ratified by Switzerland. It promotes dialogue with domestic and international companies and actively exercises its voting rights.
