General description of organisation
The Pension Fund of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland) is one of the largest corporate pension funds in Switzerland. The purpose of the foundation is to provide employee benefits insurance as defined by the BVG and its implementing ordinances for those employees of UBS GROUP AG and companies that have close business and financial ties with UBS GROUP AG, for the employees of Credit Suisse Group AG and companies that had close business and financial ties with Credit Suisse Group AG at the time of the acquisition by UBS, as well as for said employees’ dependents and surviving dependents, against the financial consequences of retirement, disability, and death, as well as for the pensioners insured in the foundation at the time of the acquisition by UBS.
Reason for membership with SSF
The primary objective in managing the assets of the Pension Fund of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland) is to achieve a sustainable, long-term return that can meet both current and future benefit obligations for the insured members. In this regard, the incorporation of sustainability criteria into the investment process is an integral part of fulfilling the fiduciary duty of care. SSF membership underscores our commitment to actively promote sustainable development of the Swiss financial market while also allowing us to proactively recognize sustainability trends in asset management at an early stage.
