Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

This 1h introduction training provides you with the minimal understanding of AI's history and the technology of a neural network, AI's current capabilities and application examples, as well as critical risks to watch for. It is not specialized on the application of AI for the financial services sector, but provides a solid basis to understand the technology before moving to its application in finance.

Sustainability in the digital age: Environmental Impacts of AI Systems
Although this is not a content developed by SSF, we list here a course that we strongly recommend because it is state of the art on the topic: "Sustainability in the digital age: Environmental Impacts of AI Systems", developed by Stanford University for the Hasso Plattner Institute. Easy to access without prior AI knowledge, this course gives a comprehensive overview of the measurement approaches and challenges of the environmental impact of AI - be it in the training of the inference phase.

AI Essentials for Sustainable Investing
Simlarly, we also share here a 15-minute video from ClarityAI, a leading Fintech company in the application of AI to sustainable finance topics. This brief video provides interesting insights on three dimensions: (1) AI's potential to support accurate, up-to-date data and reduces greenwashing risks, (2) the benefits of alternative datasets like news sentiment and satellite imagery, and (3) brief insights into data visualization and analytics to support decision-making. eLearnings on AI to foster Sustainable Finance

SSF is a founding partner of the "AI Skills Coalition", one of the initiative by United Nation "AI for Good" platform. The AI Skills Coalition aims to bridge the global AI skills gap and ensure equal worldwide access to artificial intelligence training. It serves as the UN-led global platform for AI education and capacity building. The initiative operates on the principle that AI should benefit all of humanity, particularly in addressing the world's most pressing challenges outlined in the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We are currently developing a series of eLearnings on AI and Sustainable Finance for the AI Skills coalition, which we will put online in Q3/Q4 2025.
