Swiss Sustainable Finance Academy
With sustainable finance having grown in importance over the years, education on sustainable finance is becoming key for all financial market players. Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF) seeks to support and promote sustainability within finance education through various means and provides resources for both individuals and institutions.
SSF Academy combines eLearnings on sustainable finance developed by SSF, and an overview of existing courses available in Switzerland on sustainable finance. We have aggregated these courses and made them available on this platform to help you find the education path that best fit your learning goals and needs.

Swiss Sustainable Finance eLearnings
- What is sustainable investing and what are the typical sustainable investment approaches?
- What is the role of Asset Owners in shaping sustainable finance?
- How do ESG ratings work, and why do they sometimes differ from one rating agency to the other?

Curious to learn about the above? As part of the overarching SSF Academy, we have developed a series of eLearnings, all entirely free-of-charge (some of them give access to a continuous education certificate). The short introductory video “Why should you consider sustainability criteria in your investments?” produced by Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF) is available in four languages and explains the different objectives of sustainable investments, thereby preventing misunderstandings of clients. It gives banks and financial advisors a useful tool at hand to inform their clients about the characteristics of sustainable investment products before discussing client preferences with them. It can be used independent of a banks sustainability approach as it explains mechanisms and objectives in a generic way.
A briefing document gives guidance on how to use the video in client communication and provides concrete suggestions for social media communication. Read briefing here

Guidance on Sustainable Finance educational content
As part of a joint project with the Swiss Association for Quality, Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF) defined guidelines for educational experts providing training in the field of sustainable finance. The document is intended as guidance for education providers designing education and training opportunities tailored to specific profiles. The guidelines should be seen as recommendations, and have been implemented in the education curriculum of SAQ.
